I used to hunt rabbits as a kid on the western half of the course back in the 60's. It would be great if it could be returned to a sylvan retreat...

Elbel has been a wonderful place for our family to sled and x-country ski in the winter. It would be a shame to have it built up.

Turn this city property into a large city park with bike trails, birdwatching and other city style recreation.

I think Elbel should rename a city property. It can continue as a golf course & also be used for mountain biking & cross country skiing & other purposes. If the golf course is sold, it will become another ugly vinyl valley . The view from the club house is beautiful & could be a successful restaurant location .

Every community needs places like this to help children learn about and appreciate nature, and for adults to spend quality time in a peaceful setting. Please preserve this park to have a better future for our community.

Park space must be preserved. If a golf course is not sustainable, some other public use should be explored.

I am very interested in having this land available as a public park. This would help enhance the attractiveness of South Bend as a place to live.

This community needs all of the ecologically diverse green spaces we can offer and we need to continue to foster healthy participation with all of our county and city parks as a means of strengthening our individual and community well being.

My wife and I are Michigan residents living only a couple of miles from this beautiful park. I never realized that it belonged to South Bend. This treasure needs to be preserved. Let's find a way to do that.
