We need to keep areas wild and also keep areas for people to be active! The last thing South Bend needs is more strip malls with chain food places and stores.

Please consider alternatives that ensure public access to this natural resource. Selling public land to a private developer would be short-sighted and detrimental to our community. (By the way, I am a South Bend resident. I don't know why this system shows me in Buchanan or how to change that.)

Please keep this natural resource as a park. We need to keep our green space and ecological resources for the future generations.

I love playing golf on this course but if the city can't keep it for that purpose please keep it for the beautiful natural resource that it is.

South Bend can NEVER have too many parks!! This is a beautiful resource for our community and needs to be preserved as such!

There are other alternatives - please consider a land trust.

Elbel is a beautiful golf course. I do not golf but love driving by it. Turn it into a regular park if you must change it.

Great open spaces and beautiful parks are just as important to a city and how it is regarded as a place to live, good or bad, as the industries that come and supply jobs.

Green space has been proven to be a benefit for individuals and communities. Green is Good. Any questions?

South Bend suffers from bad, short term decisions like this. Too many buildings have been torn down. They tried to develop Erskine Golf Course as well. Money now, a major irreversible mess later. It's too late for so so much, but it's not too late to preserve what little you have left. It's ecologically important too. Find your soul, South Bend.

One of the places you can see Sandhill Cranes in the fall. A beautiful place to run.

This is a beautiful piece of land that could support conservation efforts and provide space for people to enjoy these unusual habitats.

I golfed there with my sons in the past, and always found myself more interested in the wetlands and the woods than in the golf game. We really need to preserve this.
