Maintain Elbel for the city of South Bend residents to experience nature, hike, and provide ecological treasure for purpetuity and other land closer to City Center should be areas for developing.

We have parks to improve the quality of life for our residents. Will the million plus improvements to Howard Park return a profit? No, but there are many residents that will enjoy it, just as I enjoy golf at Elbel. If Elbel is sold will the city be giving refunds to those of us who bought season passes, only to be greeted by a course that was allowed to fall into disrepair?

We have enjoyed Elbel for many years. It is nice that residents can use Elbel year around. We like to sled on the hill and cross country ski in the winter there. If it is sold, so much beautiful scenery and habitat would be lost to the public. Could this land be made into a park or protected nature area ? Come on South Bend, get creative !!!!

If Elbel is sold, it will eventually look like the housing development across the road. There is a developer waiting for this opportunity. South Bend residents need to stop the sale!

Elbel was the home of the Garbargz (sp?) open when I was a kid. I would hate to see it go private.

we need to preserve this special place. when is the human race going to learn that we can't continue to trounce all over our natural heritage in the age-old pursuit of money! One of the draws to living in the South Bend area is the easy access to places of beauty such as this. It is the city officials duty to protect these places for its current citizens and future citizens to come.
Budget is no excuse to carelessly get rid of places like Elbel Park.
