I am a lawyer who routinely relies on legislative histories. I understand there is a cost associated, but it would be a shame to lose this functionality.

not so "humbly" for me please; the only reason we have democracy is so that we can make our own laws, and to the extent that they become less accessible so democracy is degraded; people died for democracy - don't let some cost-cutting render their sacrifice demeaned

why let a gap occur in this primary research tool--keep the detailed legislative history tables until a suitable and reliable replacement is in place

As someone who does not have access to the RSO or tables, except through online sources, the detailed legislative history tables should be continued, and preferably on e-laws.

As a former AB Legislative Library Documents & Systems Librarian, I found these tables essential in providing service to our MLAs, etc. It is vital that these Tables are re-instated!

Discontinuing this invaluable tool would be a disaster for legal research in Ontario! Have we so embraced the Facebook age that we think anything worth saying cane said with 140 characters or less?!

As a law librarian in BC, this is an essential tool for researching Ontario legislation when I don't have access to the print versions.

The able was an important tool for private practitioners as well as those in government (provincial, municipal, and Federal). It's loss will not save money as it will require additional time (and therefore taxpayer money) to be spent when performing necessary legal research. Point in time archival as is done in B.C. would make sense. I am also disappointed that instead of fixing the problems the ON government removed access - something against the spirit of the AODA.
