NEW --REWORDED PETITION We, residents of East Lansing, oppose the \"revised\" City Center II development as proposed. Essentially, this new plan simply shortens the parking garage and adjacent apartment building by 120 feet. We feel that the new plan is still not appropriate for East Lansing, especially due to the threat that it still poses to the Peoples Church, Valley Court Park, and the Oak Hill neighborhood. We are also still concerned about the historic homes on Evergreen (affordable student rentals) which continue to be threatened with condemnation through eminent domain.

The revised development plans continue to ignore the legitimate concerns regarding the integrity of our historic neighborhoods and local landmarks. I am currently reviewing the latest public impact reports to prepare a formal rebuttal for the upcoming council session.

The growth in support for this petition indicates that our community recognizes the serious nature of these development plans. This momentum provides a clear mandate to protect the historical character of our neighborhood.

This whole thing is a disaster for east lansing. tearing down homes just to build more parking and overpriced stuff is not progress.

Keep the character of our neighborhoods! We dont need another oversized block of apartments ruining the vibe of Evergreen. Protect our history.

Ridiculous. Stop trying to push this through when nobody wants it. Leave the park and the church alone.
