I think it's important that all religions be treated with respect and dignity. This nation was founded on freedoms to express ones religious faith (among other things) and these concepts should be projected in the way we allow students to express their faith and in the ways that we acknowledge them (people and religion). This could only be a step in the right direction.

We need off in our Eid holidays

No one should have to choose between spending a holiday with family and a missing exam/class/lab.

I want to celebrate my festival without going to the college.

I am a CUNY student and a Muslim. I attend York college where almost a third if not half the students are Muslims. Please give us our Eid days off.

This is a very important holiday for the Muslims .Schools are closed for Christmas and Easter and other religious holidays and we would very much like the same for various Eid holidays. Thank you for your consideration.

As holidays are beautiful times to spend with family and friends. It saddens my heart to know that college Muslim students have to go through this issue every year, we also want to have a public holiday when our religious holidays come without having fear of being marked absent or missing a test.

IT's currently a holiday for NYC public schools. Since you recognize Jewish holidays, I fail to see why this is not recognized as well
