I graduated from CCNY in 1995. School was tough enough and I recall missing out on a lot of religious holidays throughout my time at CCNY since I couldn't afford to miss class. . .

Don't let our students have to choose between class and their religious holidays. You don't let the other faiths have to choose.

It's not fair as a cuny student I don't get off for my holiday and have to miss out on work and even exams.

Eid is an extremely important holiday within the Muslim community and as New Yorkers, that makes Eid an important part of our city's community as a whole. While CUNY clearly can not represenEid is an extremely important holiday within the Muslim community and as New Yorkers, that makes Eid an important part of our city's community as a whole. While CUNY can not just grant us every holiday, Eid is especially sacred and therefore students should be provided with the day off in order to celebrate Eid.

We only have 2 holidays a year which last max 3 days whereas Christians get a qeek off for Christmas

Muslim make up a bulk of the college students in CUNY it is absolutely necessary to have our only two holidays off.
