Force Doctors in the United States to Better Educate Themselves on Chronic Pancreatitis, Especially in the ERs!

Same problem 5 months doctors and 5 time in emergency they cannot find my problem!! Was 2 times acute pancrease or maybe more.

This is a real DISEASE. Stop treating patients like they are drug addicts!!!! Education is the ANSWER!!!!

My daughter suffered since she was 5 yrs old, although she was not diagnosed until she was 25. She had a GJ tube, PT-AIT and her body couldn't take anymore. She lost the battle here in this world. She is now pain free and no longer is treated as a "drug seeker". I know medical professionals are not perfect, they are not gods, they are "practicing" medicine. My prayer is for those of the medical field learn to listen, believe and have compassion. I can still hear my daughter crying & asking me "Why?".....

I am a chronic pain sufferer. Please take into consideration this petition. Don't take away our only means of survival. I didn't ask for this disease. But I suffer daily from it for over 30 yrs. I beg you to please educate the ER doctors on chronic and acute pancreatitis. We are tired of being treated like we are uneducated and know absolutely nothing about this disease, when in fact, we could teach them alot ourselves.

It is a rare illness, this is a fact but research and awareness are what helps to heal people. Just like breast cancer once was. We need education and we need compassion and we need it now.

Educate our Drs on the disease and LISTEN to those who suffer DAILY to find answers. Do not assume your MD makes your correct. Ask CP sufferers what YOU can do for us. Together we can have a different life.

I have suffered with acute pancreatitis back from may 2008, aand understand all the problems many have to go through with this horid illness. I aslo suffered with side effect of pancreatitis called Psuedocysts very painful to have.... I have had chronic pancreatitis since age 8yo... Please help us and change the views of nurses and doctors (we are NOT drug seekers!) and help better education (where we can get better care/concern) them on this disease!!!!

I was recently diagnosed in a local e.r. and nothing was done. I was given sime pain meds and sent home. I wasnt even told how serious this diseas is. I wasnt even given iv fluids. I suffered for days not knowing that trying to eat because i felt weak could have killed me. No one told me or explained what the pancreas does or that when it doesnt work you get sicker and sicker. Please do something.

I have had chronic pancreatitis for 14 years. It is amazing how few treatments there are for this disease. The more doctors more the better the chances of something good happening for us.

I my self do not suffer from this horrific disease, although my husband, 5children, and some of my grand children do. My children starting attacks as young as 2 years old, surgeries, procedures, attempt at pain controls. We have suffered at the hands of arrogant doctor's and nurses who wouldn't listen. Though my children are all adults now, they have to endure much undo suffering because of ignorance. There are too many things I can't even think back on that my children had to endure. I do pray doctors would become more educated.

I've suffered with this for 7yrs. Lost a lot in my life because of it. Had a Whipple and need narcotics daily to control the pain. It's a necessity not an addiction. I'm blessed to have a doctor that does understand the illness.
