Yes it's imperative to have a sound educational background especially to exist in this society. Much less if u don't have one due to affordability. I'm presently finding it hard to complete my studies effectively. Really sorry for those that hhave more than one to educate.

Because not only rich people send their children to private school but struggling parents cut corners to give their children a good education in a safe environment .. The kind of things government does not provide in public school

Education at any level cannot be considered a luxury item, without educated youths Guyana as a nation will fail. Without Private schools Public schools will be overcrowded and resources dried up very quickly.

Paying private school fees is already expensive and encourages a lot of sacrifices. Education should not be taxed.

The fact that they are trying to impose vat on people who are just trying to get a better education for their children and the private school fees are already so high and only getting higher is disgusting.

Tax is something that is used by the government to improve the country, making education less accesisable will not in anyway improve Guyana, as it is something that must be available to all the children of Guyana so that they can make something of themselve, despite financial status, location, race or gender.

With the brain drain, the lack of opportunities, the only way to innovate is an educated workforce. Let's stop shooting ourselves in our foot.

The VAT should be removed from education and health services. Both are essential. The option to use private providers is not because we have money to waste but because of the working conditions and the quality of service provided. Should the government improve both of these two essential services. I will be inclined to use and save my much needed funds for a much needed vacation as well as my pension.
