Diana and Rich tradition of inspiring it's people to prize in value education. This nation has contributed to many top-quality educators serving in other countries of the Caribbean and the rest of the world. Shirley those responsible for imposing the VAT would not want to carry on if they reflected how this would hurt disadvantage many children youth and adults in that country. As a past child and adult educator in Guyana that witnessed The intense desire to learn demonstrated but all generations appeal to the government to tax elsewhere not on those who desire to be educated.

I am extremely disappointed, after making representations to the GRA and the Finance Ministry as part of "consultations" with the Guyana Manufacturers and Services Association, that my recommendations to lift the import taxes on technical educational and training equipment has not only been ignored, but that the taxes have increased with this 14% VAT on education fees.
