Young people need contact with others. They already spend too much time on screens. The "virtual learning " was a disaster in the spring and at the end you probably had 20% participation.

I think they should have a choice. I know my choice is to send my child back to school cause I know he will not do well in remote learning. He has also stated to me that he was ready to be back in school.

For choice

Families should have an option in whether their student has in person instruction or online instruction. Educators are supposed to do what is best for their students, not what is the easiest. Not giving them an option is NOT what is best for them. All students learn differently and only giving them one way to learn is not what is best for the student.

I have one daughter that chose virtual and my other daughter wants in person classes. I truly hope they give students and parents the option to choose.

Thank you for voicing our concerns! I have children in high school vocational classes that are hands on with skills that cannot be learned by virtual education.

Families should have the choice if they want their kids in school or remote learning. Dr Cohen even stated it is best for her kids to be in school and that is what they will be doing if given the chance and she is the person educating everyone on this pandemic!!!

My child wants to go back. The way they did the end of last year was a joke.

Both of my children need to return to school with a normal consistent schedule. It is not only for education reasons but for the health and well being of my children. Children NEED to be around others and have an escape to handle any issues that my come up.

I am a teacher and want to return to normalcy ASAP. Tired of organized teacher "advocacy" groups pushing to keep schools closed and playing politics under the guise of "safety"

Kids need to be back in school ASAP. The virus does not affect them in numbers that should allow for canceling school further. Liberals can try to prolong this to effect the election, but lets not hurt our kids for their bullcrap they are pulling. GET REAL!

As a teacher, many students and their parents told me they cannot learn as effectively in the online learning. I want to teach my students lives and in person. This way will reach student better both on an academic level as well as giving them the social nurturing they so need right now. Do what it right for students and staff in JCPS.
