My husband and I are retired teachers, 50 years combined total experience. We have grandchildren in this district. Open schools, please, they need it! Parents who want, have the choice to home school! We were “polio pioneers “! High risk; never missed school! If infection hits kids, we’ll keep them home!

I want face to face for my child unless things change and the risk becomes too high. Just want to keep the options available.

Face to face interaction is needed for student learning. Also, if some remote learning is needed the government needs to provide a way so that access to internet is available to all students and make it affordable. Otherwise, they will get left behind. This is an issue for many students in Johnston County.

My daughter thrives in the classroom settinh, and switching to online learning only isn't fair to these children who have been 'instructed' to think school is necessary.

My granddaughter needs to be in school. She is in kindergarten and I believe virtual learning full time will be detrimental for her. She needs to be present in the classroom.

My child needs the interaction that face to face learning brings. I support plan C in hopes that children will soon return to class full time. Virtual learning only will put my child further behind.

I have a With a child IEP. It is crucial for her to be with a teacher for one on one learning in order to meet her goals.

The health of my grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors is paramount, but I believe they can safely open and continue to change policy as necessary to protect our greatest asset.

The kids need to go back to school. Last years remote learning was a mess. The kids need interaction with peers and JoCo needs to figure it out. Put the kids in school safely- without them being scared of getting sick 100% of the day. This is our new normal and we cannot just go into a hole for forever. Parents cannot be expected to work 40 hours a week and basically home school children. Teachers cannot be expected to teach a classroom remotely while there own kids are being neglected. Is the school system going to pay for childcare so the teachers can work? It’s a mess, we can do better. Society can do better.

my child needs to be at least part time in school for face to face being in an IEP and needing more help than I can provide. learning is already difficult for him and the spring online work was extremely difficult for him. he needs to be in school as much as possible not to mention more interaction with other children.

My daughter wants & needs to be in the classroom. My husband is ‘health’ compromised as well, but we believe in class is where our children belong. Thank you
