Let the Children Go Back to School

We the parents a already booked out surveys expressing our wishes. Overwhelming we want in person classrooms. Please prayerfully listen to our wishes.

These children need to be back in school. Coming from this RN whom directly works with post covid patients, children are at very extreme low risk of contracting and spreading covid.

I trust the school personnel have thought through the decision to begin next week and have faith the students will abide with the recommendations to instill safety for everyone.

Children are at a extremely low risk of contracting and spreading the virus. Hand hygiene is key. Mask contribute to cross contamination.

Please open our schools. We are not afraid.

Children should go back to school because if they don’t they could miss out on who you meet, what you do, and I think it is way easier to learn at school rather than at home.

I would like the safest option...

Kids need in person learning. This is not about getting kids out of the house. It is about a child's development and education. They need to learn social structure and responsibility. The classroom setting is designed for this. Don't let a generation of young kids be wastes.

This is my sons Senior year please go back for some kind of normalcy.

Cases in youth are only mild, often asymptomatic and undetectable sickness among younger people. I know this first hand because my son had an asymptomatic case. These kids are miserable and losing ground academically. In person learning is critical. Let’s do the hygiene efforts and make it happen.

Please open our schools as planned. Do what is right for our children!

Our children need to go back! I know our wonderful catholic schools are taking all precautions to ensure a safe return for students and teachers. Please allow school to start as scheduled!

The administrations are ready, the teachers are ready, and the students and parents are more than ready to get back to face-to-face education (even if it must take place behind masks). We strongly encourage you to allow the schools and staff to move forward with the plans they’ve laid, despite the governor’s “recommendation” tonight. While this action might be necessary in certain areas of the state, the cases in our area have remained relatively stable for the past few weeks and do not warrant a change of plans. On the other hand, keeping our students from the new start to school that they’ve been eagerly (more so than at any other time in their academic careers) anticipating for the past months will have a seriously detrimental affect on their emotions, attitudes and outlook. It is a compliment to our teachers that remote learning will never equal the benefits of students engaging together in the classroom. We ask that you please give the schools and students a chance to demonstrate their readiness and ability to go back as planned. Thank you. Dave and Sarah Curtsinger
