In person schooling needs to happen. If parents want their kids to virtually learn then give them that opportunity but don’t force it on everyone.

We feel comfortable with the steps our school has our into place, and feel the kids should go back to in person instruction. Nothing can replace the classroom for educators and students!

I’d really like to see my friends again and it’ll be so much easier for a lot of student to focus and get better grades. Also I think that the coronavirus isn’t a problem here since we will have masks on, we’ll be social distancing, and the sick people won’t even be there. In addition to all of this, I personally don’t think that it’ll spread coronavirus anymore than the riots. And the riots are having negative impacts on the economy whereas bringing students back to school would improve it. So just a few things to think about.

Cancelling or postponing in person or moving to non traditional (online) instruction will be the death of Catholic schools. My tuition payments and donations to the Church will cease.
It's time the Church start acting as a community to battle the secular state. I trust my kids and instructors will be kept safe in school teaching.
It's time to restore the mental health of our Catholic Church community through regular in person instruction of the Catholic school students and restoring activities for the children. This will permit the parents to return to a more normal routine. Anything less allows the assault and infringement on religious freedom to continue.
Do the right thing, school the children.

As the wife and daughter of two diocesan teachers, mother of children at BSS, we’ve got to TRY. I have faith that the schools have and will follow guidelines and that my children, husband and mother will all be safe, what I’m not so certain about is my children’s mental and emotional wellbeing if they’re forced to learn at home. I don’t understand the war of words on here, don’t like it, don’t sign it, don’t feel comfortable sending your kids back, keep them home (that’s always been an option), let’s act like the Christians we purport to be and acknowledge that everyone is just trying to do the best they can and make the decisions that are right for their families.

This virus has a 98% recovery rate and more than that in children. Why are we still up ending people's lives more than 5 months later. This is a total power grab. Parent's and American rights are being taken away by our government.

Our schools are well prepared to start as planned. I think postponing in person learning will set my child and many others back in their learning, as they perform much better with the structure of the classroom environment.

Our kids need to go back to school! Based on the information our school has shared, I think our school has done an amazing job to prepare and keep the teachers and students safe. What are people supposed to do with their kids when both parents work and have to leave the home to go to work?! So then parents would have to pay for childcare AND the tuition for their kid to go to a private school?!

School needs to start on time. My street is full of kids. They have all played together from the beginning of this in March. They have had picnics and parents have sat around fire pits. No one has gotten sick as the media claims. So let’s accept this and move on.

Don’t rob these kids of not only the academic support, but also the social aspect of school that allows kids to grow.
