Let the Children Go Back to School

These kids need to be back in school. If I wanted my child to do NTI , I would have signed up for that.

We need to go back to school!!

Superintendent Clines- I respectfully ask that you allow our children to return to school. As a front line ER physician during the last five months of the pandemic- I have seen in person what COVID-19 can do to a community. in April and March, the diseased ravaged many of our area nursing homes. CoVid-19 killed alot of US citizens. Fortunately, After that, since beginning of May, the virulence of COVID-19 seems to have dissipated. Myself, and my fellow emergency physicians at St. Elizabeth, have been scratching our heads at the governors recommendations. We are not seeing critically ill children. We are not seeing critically ill young adults. even the elderly patients we are seeing now, seem to be far less affected from it. governor Beshear made a blanket “recommendation” for a large and diverse state population. Recommendations for Jefferson County should not apply to Boone, Kenton and/or Campbell. what I’ve seen from a metal health perspective on our children and adolescents in the area far outweighs what I have seen The disease itself due to them. My children were excited to attend Saint Timothy (Union, KY) in two weeks. The governor’s recommendation has now become a threat to that. I suspect that his recommendation is based on no clinical evidence and a strong unfounded, fear-based, pushback from the Kentucky Educators Association, large population of his voting base. Speak to clinical people at Saint Elizabeth. Ask them what they are seeing. Ask the leaders at Saint Elizabeth Hospital if they can handle COVID-19 patients. we are lucky to have the best hospital system in the state caring for our parents, teachers, relatives and students. Please base your decision on the well-being of our children. They need school. They need faith based education. They need social interaction. Please, put our children first and allow them to return to school on time.

My child deserves to earn the education we have paid for. My husband and I both work full time and do not have the ability to homeschool on top of working. We have already had to take time off from work unpaid when schools closed earlier in the year. St. Pius has taken adequate precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our children. These children need to be back in school!

Please send the kids to school.

Let us go back!

Our children NEED to be in person at school.

Let them learn!!! In person is the only way we can give the children the promise of a great education and a way for them to excel in Stewardship. We must be Diligent in our health and safety but there is no reason we can’t do that in person.

We need to be leaders. Our parents and teachers are ready for the kids to return to the classroom.

The children need to remain in school. A large amount of parents are not able to balance home schooling and working full time.

I hope you make the right decision and let the children go back to in-person instruction. They need to be with their peers.

Pls let our children return to school!.

I do not intend to keep my child enrolled in their current school, if they do not go back to in-person instruction. I can buy a homeschool program online for a lot cheaper than tuition that works a lot better than NTI.

I have 3 kids in catholic education. Two at st Henry district high school. One starting her senior year. The other his freshman year. Please don’t make them start at home for these are special years for both. My third is starting middle school at St. Paul in Florence. Please send them back and show we can be models for a safe return to school.

We chose catholic school so my son could receive an in person education.
