Ask Schools to Educate Children about "The New Drug", Pornography.
THE PROBLEM:
Did you know that the average exposure to "hard core" pornography is 11 years old? Teens today are dealing with the issue of pornography on a scale that has never before been seen in the history of the world. They need our help.
Pornography affects the brain the same as cocaine, but it's legal, absolutely free, easily accessible, fits into their pocket so it can be taken everywhere and shared with all ages, in all places.
OUR GOAL:
Join with us to let our local schools, in Kennewick, Pasco and Richland, know that we would like them to offer a special presentation from a non-profit organization, "Fight the new Drug", educating all the students about the dangers of Pornography. With enough community support we can ask the school boards to fund these presentations in our area.
We have seen that pornography affects others as much or
more as those viewing it and has the power to destroy families and
lives. So for us, we feel this program is worth a try and have high
hopes that it will make a difference in the lives of our children, our
schools and society.
OUR PLAN:
"Fight The New Drug"
is a non-profit organization that brings entertaining and age
appropriate one hour presentations to Middle & High School students. Research shown that this new drug our children have access to is
as addictive as cocaine, damages relationships and harms society as a
whole. By focusing on the science and facts of this new drug, children and
families can make educated decisions before choosing to view
Pornography. This non-profit organization also teaches children what they
can do if they have a problem with viewing pornography.
WHY THIS WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
The statistics show that 30-40% of teens do not have a strong view, positive or negative, about pornography. "Whichever direction this group falls, adopting positive or negative views, will determine what the majority view will be in the rising generation- creating a culture that generally opposes or endorses pornography. By creating a majority in support of our message we will be able to leverage that cultural shift to influence and change behaviors for the better."
