We the dues paying Nigerian doctors are unhappy that our leaders at the NEC meeting in Owerri and Abuja, removed an amendment request for our association to adopt one doctor one vote for our national elections.

The NMA NEC stepped down this item that will ensure accountability in a meeting attended by our leaders in National Officers Council (NOC) and National Executive Council (NEC) resulting in NO ONE voting to give you a right to elect them in that meeting.

One of their reasons, is that you are not matured enough... A medical doctor that makes live and death decisions everyday for patients, is not matured enough to vote their leaders ?

Let's tell them we don't agree.

Let's remind them that we have all the powers.

Let's take our right back.

Let's support this our moves by offering your signature to enable us demand a meeting and ensure we have this put back on the agenda of Calabar ADM in May 2024

I support one doctor, one vote. The present system where people recycles themselves and forms cabals in the NMA is injustice.

I am in total support of one doctor one vote. This is democracy and it must reflect in our way of life.Accountability is sacrosanct. The elders had failed the younger ones and this is the time for the change we all have been yearning for .Enough is Enough.

NMA belongs to all Nigerian doctors who pay dues duely. Why is it difficult to allow all bona-fide doctors have an input in selecting their leaders? As a matter of fact our national elections can involve all the state branches, like state collating centers or we all travel down to wherever. Members will choose what they want and that time is now!.....member, NMA EKITI STATE...MDCN/RN/60458.

I want to be given an opportunity that enables me to directly elect a NATIONAL PRESIDENT of NMA. The current delegate system that allows only few people (DELEGATES) to elect the NATIONAL PRESIDENT on our behalf is insensitive and should be ABOLISHED.

One Doctor One Vote is the right way to go, let's get it right and increase the probability of choosing a leader that can speak for all instead of speaking for a selected group.
