Ya i too strongly agree with u all. Because my sons is already wearing spectacles. And i am trying to avoid usage of laptop as much as possible. But ending up with more usage of chromebook. Writing on paper is the best way.

My daughters eyes and head was hurting alot after iready because of constant use of crombook for log time during the iready exam.

I strongly believe the idea of chrome books and iPads to young kids will definitely make them not use their motor skills and don't help them to develop logical understanding. When kids already know how to use technology gadgets very well why not teach them what they don't know. At home they are glued to them anyway please make them to hold pencils and pens, let them practice using them and make them more self confident. Please rethink kids won't gain from this rather they are loosing what they already have now.

We need to put an end to this technology craziness as soon as possible. It's doing ONLY harm and no good. I beg the Edison education board to take away these chromebooks. Worried mother of two.

Depending too much on Chromebook is certainly bad for health. Adults, who work on computers for long time gets a lot of related health issues and we don't want our kids to get such problems in their early life.

My child spent years in elementary school getting OT...only to discover she wasted all those years learning to hold a pencil..coz she will really not need one.Both students and teachers need to get back to being a classroom and not an internet cafe

I am concerned about their health.
Kids are spending more than 9 hrs on chrome books per day which may lead to serious concern on their eyes in the near future and we see all the younger generation with glasses on and hard to see one without.

I do agree that student when they use crime book their creativity and writing skills is not getting much attention. I believe this is quite serious.

Totally agree on limiting the use of chrome book. Apart from the handwriting and the motors kills part, I have concerns on the safety aspects also. These unrestricted access for kids will create a lot of issues as we all know internet is not very safe. It is not always possible to keep a hawk eye on kids. It will be great if there are limit on the use.

I agree, let school start teaching a proper way of typing to the students first in the elementary and intermediate school . Tha students will be more organised to use the Crome in Middle school !!!
