In addition to this what about the safety of kids online?
The Google search is not restricted! Kids have been literally exposed to all sorts of things on internet . there is no firewall no restriction!

Totally agree . Too much exposure to screen can lead to eye, back problems plus kids writing skills will go down the lane. The hand mind coordination is a must for this young , spongy brains.

Kids are spending too much time with chrome book. Forgetting handwriting as most of the home work is system based. These little ones are so very excited to have this chrome book that they are forgetting to play or interaction. For them world is they and their chrome book. It is not even good for their eyes.

Too much electro ma genetic waves to kids eye. Would be nice to have limited chrome book usage.

it is not advisable for kids to only work on chromebooks but no paper,pen or textbook.not good for their eyesight .

I would like the kids using books and pencils. At least the elementary kids should not have laptops.

Yes, I suggest to bring the old process to let the kids write using pencil in notebooks. This will allow them to sharpen their brain and improve hand writing skills

I am concerned about my kids sight.i am scared like after sometime they will forget to write.i think these chromebooks are no way helping.Learning technology is easy,anybody can do that when they are adults.As i learnt most of it like in my 20 s.

I totally agree with the idea. Use of chrome book should be limited and focus should be more on writing manually and reading from the textbooks, for the development of their brain and developing fine motor abilities.

Handwriting including cursive writing should be mandatory. Look at the 20 top public school systems to compare. How will they sign a document or read historical documents? This is an outrage!

As an occupational therapy student, it is very disturbing that there is such a lack of pen and paper tasks in school. With so much screen time, these students are unable to develop their fine motor skills which are necessary to complete all activities of daily living. By making it acceptable for young students sit behind screens for the majority of the school day, social skills and interactions will lack in later years. These chromebooks are doing more harm than good!
