Thanks for this petition. i agree as it should be in limit of usage as the electronic devices laptop emits 8 times more electromagnetic waves as that of cellphones. thanks. Vidhya.

I have 2 Kids in Hoover and they are up to midnight doing home work on the chrome book. They are in sports and have to come home to 3 and 4 hours of homework a night, including weekends!! This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. If our kids are going to be on the Chrome book 10 hours a day what do we need teachers for. It is simply wrong...

Right now, the primary mode of teaching important and complex topics like Math fundamentals is through : ONLINE VIDEO. THERE ARE NO TEXT BOOKS TO REFER TO THE TOPIC, NO SPECIAL MARKING OR HIGHLIGHTING BY THE STUDENTS, NO ROOM FOR TEMPORARY WORK BY HAND by the student. This is the most ridiculous way of learning such important fundamentals for any student. We have to stop this method of teaching and need to leverage Teachers. A machine doesn't clarify the doubts of a student and can't make an affirmation that the student understood the concepts. This method of teaching itself is WRONG from the teaching fundamentals. No one should be paying thousands of dollars in taxes for this type of education.

I agree that we must limit Chromebook time to our students my husband, Richard Brescher, supports this too. He is running for the board of Education Township candidate number nine. I f you vote for him on November 3, 2015 he will support your cause if he is elected. Thank you parents of Edison for starting this petition process - a worthy cause
