Yes I agree with other parents. My son is in 3rd grade and still he doesn't know the proper way of writing paragraphs and all. Since everything he is doing online.

Right from day one I never liked kids using chrome book. Exposure to internet. Wrong way........kids should learn to write and read via note books not chrome book

Cut Back Chromebooks, Get Kids Back to Books Our kids are now blasted with all kinds of electronic devices loaded with videos, games, and social media. We parents want our kids to embrace the advantages of digital education, but not to be enchained by electronic addiction. However, our school district gave Chromebooks outright to our kids, let our kids bringing them home, and shifted homework online. Now, our kids are diving in the electronic devices all day, having excuses to hang on the Internet all time, and doing homework online forever. Before the school district have dumped those Chromebooks to our kids, we parents could manage kids’ use of the electronic devices we provided as a leisure and limited use after finishing their homework. Now, we parents had no control, since our kids always say, “I need it for my homework.” Some parents had tried to communicate with our school district’s board member but got answered: “let’s just face it, there are not too much the school can do when the computer goes home.” We parents had long, barely successful battles trying to balance the good and the bad sides of the electronic device use. Now, the school district had broken this delicate balance and dumped the issues on us. We need the school district to be aware of these issues and take actions. All parents experienced and concerns the issues of Chromebooks, please come forward to speak up in the school district’s board meeting: Monday, July 25, 7 P.M., Education Center, 312 Pierson Avenue, Edison, NJ 08837 Distribute this message to parents having this issue. Technology should be a tool to enable learning from the educated. Technology is not the educated. I see children not developing basic skills like writing and reading due to excessive use of chrome book and online tools. Their attention span is also reducing.

I would like to limit the use of Chromebook and would prefer schools using text books and emphasise in using notes at school.

I totally agree with it! Especially the concern about teaching through videos.
