We are undervalued pay at minimum wage is insulting. We can earn more working fast food or at a grocery store with less hassle and responsibility. Our passion for teaching keeps us in the field.

Our job as ECEs is key in helping children develop the foundations for life and more complex learning skills. Therefore, we need that recognition by getting better work conditions, wages increase, and benefits.

I am a Montessori teacher and am currently working for a company and we are their only Montessori school. I am making a barely liveable wage. I have years of knowledge and expertise and lead of our toddler department.

I feel for all our fellow ECE's In B.C. wish they shut down their Childcare Centers and keep the children safe with their families . Hands up to those educators!
