East Sac Dog Park

Having a dog park is a valuable resource for our community. It helps connect people and neighbors and makes the community stronger.

East Sac needs a dog park that is safe within our ES community. Sutter’s landing is unsafe due to and I will not go there.

An East Sac dog park will help all neighbors to live together peacefully. It is the safe, right and kind thing to do.

We need a park where there's a grass in Shady trees I don't know why they can't designate East portal say 6 in the morning till 9 when no one else is using the park at the baseball field.

East Sac needs an off leash park. Dogs need to run.

There are too many dogs off leash at Bertha Henschel Park!

Please create a space for dogs to run off leash and get them out of our parks where our kids play. Too many dogs running off leash near kids. Too many irresponsible dog owners thinking unleashed dogs near kids are ok.

This has been an issue for years and is continuing to get worse.

The Sacramento region has the second highest number of DogTrekker.com readers in California and we support the dog owners and all residents of East Sacramento in securing a fenced dog park where dogs can safely run and play off-leash.

So badly needed

Our dogs in East Sac deserve better. We pay for parks but our own pets can't play there unless they are leashed. Can we leash the toddlers too,lol We need a place for pets only. We are homeowners and as dog owners we are not being represented in our community, East Sac. And no giving us a wadding size pool of an area. A real park!

Great idea! There are too many dogs off leash at all our local East Sac Parks. That isn't fair to the kids and people that also want to enjoy the park. It is also difficult for those of us who want to walk our dogs through or around the park. A leashed dog can be aggressive when they are leashed and another dog approaches off leash.

It is important to keep our dogs and selves safe. I run one of my dogs daily and walk the others. I have been chased by off leash dogs on a regular basis and have even had crashed because a dog ran in front of my bike to get to my dog and I hit him. It's only natural for a dog to chase,a moving object! Dog owners have good intentions of getting their dogs out to the parks to run and play, but it's not safe for the dog or others. We pay a lot of property taxes in East Sac and deserve a dog park. There is plenty of room to do an enclosure at McKinley Park. They have a play ground for children, I have no children. I pay taxes for schools and once again I have no children. There are just as many dog owners as people with kids in our community. Let's provide a place for our dogs to play safe, we give so much to kids and dogs are part of our family too!

Sutter's Landing does not count. There is no grass and no shade at that park. We need a dog park IN east Sac.

Every single day all of the parks in east sac are treated like dog parks, with multiple dogs off leash. It's just too dangerous! Something has to change!

I'm a huge dog lover. I feel they deserve a park of their own. It's a win-win solution for both kids and dogs.
