It would be great to have a Sprouts, but honestly any grocery store added would be better than an empty storefront.

We do need another grocery store. With all the new apartments and condominiums going in, once occupied King Soopers on pace and 17th is going to be even more crowded than it already is

The northeast side of Longmont is woefully inadequate in so many ways, including a grocery store but also, coffee shops and restaurants

We really do need another grocery store at 17th and Pace. Sprouts, Trader Joes would be great.

This area needs MORE than a grocery store! How about a clothing department store, a hardware store, a few nice restaurants, a post office branch, a pet food store, some gift shops....

This shopping mall and area needs another grocery store. How about a Trader Joe´s or World Market type store? The area is growing!

Hmmm. Seems the issue is that people didn't support their local grocery store & are likely shopping at Kings or elsewhere in Longmont (or perhaps on-line..) Therefore, it seems unlikely putting another one there will fare any better..

If it is true that Safeway is not releasing the space the City should at least make a statement to that effect so the town can take collective action.

I absolutely agree that NE Longmont needs another grocery store with all the new building/housing growing in our area now. Our local King Soopers is always crowded and never fully stocked. I'd love to see a Sprouts, Trader Joe's or Lucky's in the area. There are 3 major grocery stores in the Hover-Ken Pratt area, This is unacceptable! Our rapidly growing NE Longmont needs another grocer to provide for the community.

Rumour has it Safeway won't let another grocer in that space. If that is indeed true I suggest we organize a Longmont wide boycott of Safeway until they release that space.

Without competition, King Soopers quality, attitude, and selection is poor.

The timing of the Pace Safeway couldn't have been worse. Their is now a new apartment complex and subdivision that has been built but yet we have one store on the east side of Longmont. Why can't we get a Trader Joe's or another updated Safeway in the empty property?
