To: John Lewis,5th district congressman America is the leading user of fossil fuels(5x more then the entire world) and other nonrenewable resources to produce energy. These resources are being used at an exponential that will eventually cause them to run out(most are already scarce). Also, these power plants that use fossil fuels are the leading cause of air pollution and other environmental problems. I am asking the U.S. government to enforce these: - Banning of any power plants that use fossil fuels. - Building and promoting of power plants that use cleaner renewable resources. For example solar power, wind power, hydrogen power, etc. - Provide \"Green Taxes\" to those who use energy efficiently. On May 7th,2005 this petition will be sent ethier via e-mail or USPS.
