Strongly oppose the early release of Renaties De Klerk as he represents significant danger to the local residents in the Greyton/Boschmanskloof area. His release represents a mockery of our justice system and into our community which is unfortunately under-policed and not prepared for accepting such cases of early release of perpetrators of crimes such as rape, kidnapping, assault, and housebreaking. It is also a community largely consisting of elderly retired persons.

Greyton-Boschmanskloof should not have to shoulder the burden of hosting this convicted criminal 'on parole', where this community does not have the resources to contain the escalating increase in crime in the area.

Early release of criminals convicted for life for violent offences and rape should be vehemently opposed, which I hereby do, by all members of society regardless of whichever community into which they are to be released. It is incumbent upon the government to ensure that the relevant Criminal Justice system and Corrections departments to are appropriately funded and managed to ensure they have the budget, resources and infrastructure to uphold sentences in their entirety wherein such crimes are so heinous as is the case here.
