The wetland is key to maintaining the wildlife habitat for many bird species and should not be disturbed just to save a few moments of drivers time. It’s immoral to destroy this beautiful place for so little real benefit

I hope there is a change of plans for this destruction of our natural beauty. Once it has been bulldozed in the name of progress. We have nothing to be proud of. Let alone the beautiful nature that live in these wetlands. It breaks my Heart to see how much gets destroyed by progress. Who actually cares about a connector road at such a cost to nature?

The Eagleby Wetlands are incredibly important in reducing floods as well as being a biodiversity habitat We can not allow the government to be environmental vandals .

I go to the wetlands regularly as it is the only place for miles that has the variety of wildlife that I like to find for photography. It is an amazing treasure.

This route should not cut through the Eagleby wetlands. The bird life would not survive. There are alternate sites elsewhere which don’t have such a big impact on residents etc.

Eagleby is a little sanctuary for lots of wild life, birds( there are so many ) , frogs, lizards. The list goes on. We need to save these wetlands !

If this monstrosity is planned for the benefit of people living SOUTH of Eagleby who find their road link is now too long for them to travel to work, WHY did they not think of that before they moved in. How many multi level highways have been built that are a lot bigger than this abomination would be? If the people that want this new road built had the sense to think and move closer to where they HAVE to work, or just figure out how long it would take to design (oh but of course they already know what to build before they said where) and build it they would also have figured out that by the time it is built and opened they will be paying a fortune in tolls for 'their' roadand the population will have grown to a point they will be looking for another road. Get another job closer to where you live or catch a train. What are these road builders going to do about all the flood ways they want to plant roads in, maybe they should be made to explain every inch of their stupid idea.

Knowing the vulnerability of wetlands world wide it astounds me that the Coomera Connector would even be considered a viable option by running it through Eagleby. This is an unconscionable decision regarding the impact that it would have on the wildlife and breeding cycles. I find it ironic from a scientific prospective they have no way of knowing the longitudinal impacts on the wildlife in Eagleby. Yet, the Logan City Council promotes on its own website the value of visiting Eagleby wetlands as a tourist attraction. Why aren't they protecting it as an attraction and a wildlife conservation park? This is a unique wildlife area.

This is a great example of poor planning and understanding of the environment, especially when the is a viable alternative that does not turn the suburb into a rat run, will increase air, light and noise pollution and decimate the all the wetlands (flora and fauna). This is not environmental friendly, or allow for future expansion. I enjoy being able to see the flora and fauna from my backyard and I don't want to see a roadway.

The wetlands are an integral part of the environment providing a safe place for multiple species of birdlife but also assist in flood mitigation. We are encroaching more and more on nature and very soon there will be more extinct species. Stop this planned route and protect this unique area.
