It will make the Eagleby area more congested than ever.

These wetlands are priceless, sustain precious wildlife and also help reduce the risk of flooding upstream, please leave them alone!

This project will have a major impact on wildlife that frequent the wetlands. It will also impact farmers and others that live and work in the Eagleby area. We chose this area to spend our last days in because of its quiet rural atmosphere which this project will destroy.

I frequently conduct birdwatching tours there with international guests who regard it as an amazing and very special place, and a great example of cooperation between a local government and amateur naturalists. I've said many times if I ever had to live in suburbia again this would be a great suburb to choose. I meet many bird photographers and dog walkers who are very appreciative of such an opportunity to spend time in a quiet, picturesque area amongst native plants and birds. And of course the birds themselves: ever-changing but always a variety of species. Why spoil all this with an ill-placed road?

We live in a retirement villiage that will be encompassed by the freeway and go through and destroy our beautiful lake

Just say no to the Co-Con There are over 60 Birds which are Federally and State Protected not to mention the other amazing wildlife of the area. Lets save our peaceful lifestyle rather than being encircled by Highways.

Destroying wildlife through flood plains is not a smart move in any which way. There are alternatives and the 20 year old plan is outdated and needs someone to properly inspect the route again.

Waste of tax payers money. How about finishing off the high way we have already. The wet lands is a great eagleby attraction with all the native birds and wildlife. Council wants to to destroy that native area. Pull ur heads in u money hungry pigs. Actually think about the wildlife and surrounding residents for once, instead of ur back pockets u grubs.

Its not fair that this affects people’s livelihoods and futures.

No Road

This road will disturb the natural habitats of numerous protected birds. It will affect the residents of Eagleby by bringing thousands of vehicles a day right through the middle of the community.

The reason we bought down here was because of the tranquility of the wetlands... a by-pass will completely destroy that....as well as the environment

We must not give up hope to stop this unwanted road

Why does Eagleby and the community have to be penalised for poor decisions and planning made by the Gold Coast. This road will not resolve traffic issues, will only add to the existing traffic issues on the M1 at Loganholme and beyond. We want to see your traffic impact studies etc. Show us the proof before spending hideous amounts of money. Try fixing Qld Health first

Hell no we dont want a high way through our little town!!

This is ridiculous surely it can be moved over so that farm houses and businesses on Schmidt road aren’t impacted, a little further east and it’s on unused land and doesn’t effect people’s livelihood.

We don’t need a road through eagleby we need to keep our birds and wildlife reptiles and animals
