Look at your school board. Other than your representative from the Harding area and Mr. Hoffman, they are an open budget board. Most of these members have conflicts of interest and vote accordingly. It would be prudent to listen to board meetings online or attend the meetings. In addition to students paying for iPads, the capital projects fund is increasing by 12%. Taxes will be going up.

I have kids in 7th,9th and 11th grade. The fees are simply too high. I'd rather see them go back to text books. It was much easier to assist with homework before the iPads.

The bills are absolutely ridiculous. Rental fees from 30.00 to 131.00 for more than 1 child for low income families is just not possible.

I was never told that the iPad rental was going up. If that's the case go back to using books instead of technology. What about the people on fixed income that can't afford to pay that fee.

That's the world we live in now . Nothing is free . They should have told the parents but it would not have changed things . You need to look who you vote for the school board .

I have no children attending EACS but I don't support adding fees without the knowledge of the parents up front.

There are already enough school fees, why add more?

I understood that book fees would be reduced as the IPAD was used more each year. Our total fees each year seems to increase. It's disappointing to see the $131 being added to our total paid!!

Totally unacceptable for the schools to do this to parents without prior notification.

At the very least you could have informed parents about the upcoming additional charges and what the program does. Some of us actually budget for book fees. An extra 100.00 is not appreciated or in the budget.

FYI, I will only pay the $30 I was told to pay. They can figure out how to get the rest covered, because it won't be coming out of my pocket!
