Access to this spot should not be restricted, it should be managed. By restricting access the damage that will be done to the environment and to those trying to access one of the best surf spots close to the metro area will far outweigh current risk. In fact it would be argued in a court of law that if people were hurt trying to access a spot that had been deliberately blocked off after more than 40 years free access to what is internationally recognised surf break, that is captured in publications available world wide, .....those that manage the the access would be liable for damage and or compensation as a result of damage or injury sustained whilst trying to access the surf spot. Aside from that it's a pivotal part of West Australian and particularly Yancheps surfing history. You can be rest assured it will continue to be surfed. One way or another.

How can you close a track due to beach goers when it's only accessible by us 4x4's and we are the beach go'ers.

The urban sprawl needs to have boundaries, our lifestyle is what has drawn many people to the area and our state. Yet here we are reducing access to lifestyle options creating an anonymous sea of rooves which only benefits the shires and developers, not the communities or residents. Please reconsider. The race for increasing populations and thus increasing rates collection is something which needs to be balanced against what makes this country and indeed, the Shire of Wanneroo great.
