I use the York Street F train daily and would welcome an additional exit. I totally agree with the need for this from a safety standpoint.

Needed badly, as I hear 1000 more residents will reside in Dumbo, not including additional workers!

As a small business owner based in DUMBO this is vital to attracting workers. As a home owner in DUMBO this is key for safety.

Yes! This is a public safety issue that needs to be addressed, especially with the number of people in and out of Dumbo each day. The proposed solution is a no-brainer and should be implemented immediately. I don't know a Dumbo resident who would not support it.

this is absolutely needed!!! it will encourage more foot traffic between High and Prospect streets and will also accommodate the growing number of residents, visitors, and employees of the neighborhood. please consider this proposal!!!

this would be an amazing addition to the York St stop. the current set-up is crowded and dangerous, and quite difficult for anyone who has difficulty walking up stairs.

I am Dumbo resident for over 11 years. The neighborhood is vastly difference from when we first moved here.
This community continues to grow and expand and there is a great need for an additional subway entrance to alleviate the heavy foot traffic, up and down and very deep York Street station.
How is a single entrance and exit point even legal from a fire protection point of view ? The current condition is potentially dangerous.

Utilization of this poorly conceived station has skyrocketed in the past few years. The congestion on the platform, the stairs and the tunnel are well past the point of being dangerous. There are several large residential projects coming to completion in the near future. Without some improvement there is going to be a tragedy at the York St. Station sooner or later.
