The explosive amount of real estate development in this tiny neighborhood will make the York St. F station even more impossible to navigate than it already is -- we're beyond capacity and only one exit makes it feel very unsafe at rush hours. Lack of accessibility features and an elevator is outrageous.

Fix this situation now! What a missed opportunity to not build a additional stairwell at 85 Jay St site. Even with that a south entrance is needed.

All that you have to do is stand at the York St subway entrance at morning rush hour to know that is an immediate danger to the young families of this neighborhood, the commuters, and the tourists.
It is not a matter of if, but a matter of when. And if nothing is done, when it happens, the city that chose to continue putting as all at risk will be to blame.
Add a second entrance. And make the entrances safer. How is this even something that we need to petition for?
Perhaps there's no money? In which case, they shouldn't have ok'd 85 Jay!

With all of the construction in the neighborhood (which will lead to a influx of tax dollars), this needs to be an urgent priority for the MTA. This station is already very over crowded and it a massive fire hazard.

Yes we need a new way out and escalator on elevator on both exit ways not just the new exit but both exits

I have been living in Dumbo for 9 years now and cannot believe how overcrowded and dangerous the subway lines have become. Before the city allows more building in this area they should make these changes for a second entrance. Also, change some of the street parking signs which are ridiculous .Thank you.

The re-design of the York Street station on the F line is a no-brainer in a transit system that should have seen the need for an emergency exit a long time ago.

This is a great idea. It's very frightening as a woman to be trapped. If someone threatening is between you and the exit it leaves you no where to go. I have lived in the neighborhood 10 Years and have had circumstances in which I was very vulnerable due to this issue. Thank you for trying to make this happen!

Yes def need another exit. Long platform with just one exit was poor planning from the start. Add long stairs for seniors and parents with kids - ultra dangerous in the event of emergency
