In the event of any kind of emergency, the York Street station on the F train becomes a death trap! It needs to be fixed!!!

MTA should close this station. The High st. station nearby can handle larger crowds it has 3 street exits

Been working in the Navy Yard for 5 years. If there's a fire or a bomb scare, we're all gonna die down there.

Why is the MTA immune to the code requirements in place everywhere else in the world? Occupancy above 50 requires a second means of egress. This isn't new.

I use this station every day to get to work and it's a disaster just waiting to happen. An additional and/or expanded exits would ensure passenger safety.

NEEDS TO BE DONE!! See so many elders struggling up the stairs everyday! So not safe in emergencies to only have one exit.

Very much needed. If there were ever a real issue people would be either trapped or trampled. The congestion only continues as you exit the station after extensive climbing. With the increased development of Dumbo both in the residential and commercial sense, we need more options.
