No one should be tested unless they have symptoms but above all it is the parents decision. We the people do have our constitutional rights and it appears to me DISD has crossed the line on this issue.

As a parent I have concerns about my child's health, not for this week, month or school year but for life. I feel like that is MY job as a mother. I am worried about the effects of numerous, unnecessary testing and the effects of short term tested vaccines. No one can answer the question of what this will do to my 6 year old in 20 years. There are articles and statements of the sanitizing agent used for these tests to have a toxic chemical sprayed on them. A chemical that is published by the EPA to be carcinogenic, cause miscarriages, infertility and effect sperm size and count. The effects can be more severe in children. This may not be the case when tested once a year or even twice but for frequent testing no one knows. The studies have not been done. I am not willing to chance it. This is an over reach of what our school system should be doing. We all understand the fear and worries of covid and the severity of the illness for some individuals. The facts show low percentage rates and even lower with children. We should not be putting this worry and fear on our children. What about their mental health, education and social developments? These things are getting left behind because of this pandemic. My daughter was out of school 21 days last year because she never got sick. Then followed by Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. At the end of the school year it was suggested she get held back. I can't imagine why she may have fell behind. Let's get back to educating our children and let their doctors and parents worry about their health.
