A speed camera would also be a huge help. The red light camera is useless and I have seen it many times flash on cars that are NOT going through the light. Many malfunctions. I drive that intersection every day am and pm. It is definitely a speedway.
And Pot Spring is another speedway, if you do 5 miles over the speed limit drivers cross the dbl yellow line to pass you.
Try just putting a radar on DV northbound for a couple of weeks and see how bad it is!!!

Put in roundabouts all the way up Dulaney Valley, starting at Fairmount, including Charmuth, Pot Spring, Seminary, and Timonium up to Jarretsville pike intersection. Not only safer but also prevents traffic back ups since traffic keeps moving but at a slower pace.

The northbound is a downhill which meets a busy intersection downstream right after Dullany Valley and Seminary-a four-leg intersection. So, this location is more like a five-leg intersection, causing frequent conflicts. Also, many southbound vehicles are taking I-695 west. This means four types of traffic are using one or two lanes for right turn from Seminary, right turn to Sminary, merging traffic from Cold Spring and cars entering I-695 west when the intersection has green light.

Related concern there is no shoulder on Providence Road from the Beltway to the reservoir bicycle people are at great risk of causing risk to themselves and
cars passing double lines to get around them. I don’t know of a win win solution but I have seen so many near misses at the cross streets; e.g. Dogwood Hill, DunEllen. Seminary and others. There is no where to hike dog walk or bike especially at dawn and dusk .

I live on Seminary Ave., and i have personally witnessed the death of a teen right in front of my home. The speeding on Seminary is ridiculous.

Please do not consider putting a traffic light at St. Francis Road. Residents like myself living on the east side of Dulaney Valley Road south of St. Francis would not be able to leave our driveway when the light is red.
