Think the school should have sent letters out before 6 week holidays. And they should be more concerned with teaching our children not looking at their clothing it's not fashion show!!!!

I can't see the problem but if this is impropiet school wear then it should be stated. It's also like them having to wear blazers in a hot room and in the school grounds.

I don't think the people in charge of the school are going to take a blind bit of notice of a petition. The school has been underachieving for years and the biggest cause of this isn't the uniform. If the teachers put as much effort in actually educating the children Ollerton, Edwinstowe, Bilsthorpe and Boughton would all benefit. The only action the school will take note of, now an academy so teach children for profit, is for the parents to take positive action and all visit the local MP. He won't take much notice of a petition.

I have had a letter sent home about my child having tight trousers but her problem is is that she as larger thighs than the average girls so the trousers that I get her will all be to tight. I

I find it really annoying because how are edwinstowe and bilsthorpe people supposed to get home especially when my dad is to I'll to drive !! Its an appsaloute joke !

I have the same problem with my daughters trousers at this school. Uniform costs alot of money. I think its time teachers cleaned up their act as far as clothing is concerned. They wear skirts that are too short and tops that are far too revealing. Lets get on with education and NOT hormones please x

Really don't see the issue, as long as they are smart! It is the 21st century and styles change all the time! At least they are at school and not absconding, please put your efforts into the teaching instead of staring at trousers, come on guys...

It's disgusting! There trousers will in no way effect there ability to learn.. how can the school be allowed to get away with sending the kids home and keeping them out of school because of the trousers they wear?? The school should of made sure the parents were aware that they weren't allowed 2 be wearing these kind of trousers before the kids broke up not after the parents have bought them when it's to late!!

I don't have kids at this school but I'm in support of this because as a parent myself I know how costly uniform is and if the width of trouser leg is not specified how can the kids be punished for it, also loosing out on education that's parents would be penalised for had they have kept them off school!! Also heard of lads being told there haircut is too short?! Whatever next!!

Don't see how their trousers are making a difference to their education. They are also black trousers, not jeans, not bright colours, not three quarters etc. They conform to 99% of schools uniform policy so why is this school different. If you wanted to be so awkward then maybe you should of stipulated thus before the uniforms were purchased

This is getting beyond a joke. Think about the education of the pupils not how skinny their trousers are. It doesnt effect the way they learn what effects it is being sent home! Sort it out..

As long as the children are clean and tidy wearing black trousers .... That is the important thing ...wot type of trousers they are wearing does not have a effect on their learning ...
