This school is a joke absolutely pathetic they need to get rid of the idiot teachers and replace them with ones that want to educate the kids ! God help them if they send my daughter home !

I have not yet had a problem with having boys in the Dukeries ,but my daughter will start in Dukeries in a year , if she wears skinny trouser and they are black and they look smart I don't see a problem with it

To far in my eyes and discriminative we're not in the 1950s and if this is going to be classed as right then surely skirts are just as distracting if not more??

they should be concentrating on the kids education not worrying what they are wearing!

Its not just trousers, its shoes aswell, whats more important? your education or your uniform?

You should make the type and style of trouser acceptable to be warn known before they start back to school. The children will love you sending them home for the wrong style of trousers. By sending the kids home you are just putting them out on the streets while parents are at work. What child is going to feel this is a punishment ?

It is wrong that two children can wear the same style of trousers, and one is deemed acceptable and the other not just because of how they fit. Is this not a form of discrimination, ostracising pupils that aren't the 'right' shape/size?

If it wasn't made clear before the summer break then they should relax the ruling this year

I don't agree with the school punishing children for the trousers their wearing. I personally think they've taken things way to far this time. They need to concentrate on their education not if their trousers are tight..

Getting stupid. As long as they look smart can't see the problem in a more fitted trouser

Having spoken to the school today to ask for the uniform policy there referring to I was told by the office staff they didn't have it as it was a new policy and its in the school planner (this is the planner they got on the first day back) they have now put the information on the uniform section of the site a week to late but I wouldn't pay to much attention to it as the head of year 8 has told me the details about the PE kit are wrong so that's helpful. I did ask for an up to date version and was told the vice principle would ring me about this no call so far. We didn't receive a letter about this last year. I'm also wondering what there definition of tailored is but as there opting not to engage or communicate any information with parents I suppose I will never find out.

There seems to be rules for the children but none for the staff, why is there not a dress code for teachers lead by example. Piercing again teachers lead by example. If I was to inform the school I hadn't got my child the correct uniform I would be roasted but it's ok for the school to send children home. You use your hands for writing, ears for listening, mouth for replying none of these require dress code why effect their education due to uniform
