Last year the UK cancelled the debt owed to it by Haiti. We are now calling on the UK chancellor, Alistair Darling, to lead the world in making sure that all of Haiti's remaining $890 million international debt is cancelled immediately, and that all emergency and development funds for the people of Haiti are given not loaned.

Give them a real chance to get back on their feet. Stop the loans.
CANCEL THE DEBT NOW. Haiti needs every penny for the people not for interest payments.
They have been through enough already. Let them rebuild instead of paying off banks.
heartbreaking to see what they are dealing with. forget the money and help the survivors.
this is the absolute least we can do for them. wipe the slate clean.

its common sense. how are they supposed to recover if they are in the hole for millions?
