As a single parent, I know some situations are unavoidable. He was not at fault for another persons negligence. Stop criminalizing our men.

the dad did nothing wrong the other driver is to blame not the dad he loves his little girl and needs to be in her life just because he was in an wreck does not make him a bad dad I have seen people lose the child in car wrecks but the parent was not blamed when it was not their fault we can not help what other drivers do do blaming the dad is just wrong I let my grandkids ride on bikes with people I know and I know they would give their life for any child out there just like this dad

If this child was a small toddler that's one thing. It is a regular thing to see 5,6,7,8 year olds on bikes with their parents.
This child appears to be wearing appropriate safety gear, wtf are you trying to accomplish by charging this guy
