The charges against Charlie have finally been dropped. I am overwhelmed with relief that this father can move forward without this shadow hanging over his future with Laila. We will keep watching to ensure they get the support they need while they heal.

Please sign this petition to have the child abuse charges against Charlie Phillips dropped for having an accident with his daughter Laila Phillips on his motorcycle. Charlie is a single father who spends all his time with his little girl, raising her on his own. He takes his little girl out on his bike often and was struck by a vehicle throwing him and his daughter off the motorcycle. They were both injured, and have been struggling to put their lives back together since the accident. Now he is being charged with Child Abuse for the incident. This man does not deserve to spend his life with Child Abuse on his record, when his little girl is his whole life. Please help get the message out and save this family from injustice.

When I was young I always begged to ride with my dad and now I get to ride next to him! It was and is bonding and I would never give up that time I spent with him! This man was bonding with his daughter not abusing her! What has this world come to!
This should be dropped due to insufficient evidence. The child riding on the motorcycle with him is not a crime and does not break any laws. Maybe the person who hit them should be pressed with charges instead. As well as attempted manslaughter.
this is ridiculous. never would someone put their child on the back of a bike expecting to get into an accident. so are there going to be charges for parents who give their kids rides to school in the car and get into an accident?
I rode on my dads motorcycle ever since I could reach the pegs! The best memories ever! This little girl is obviously well taken care of bad things happen to good people! This is one of the best single father's I have ever seen and doesnt deserve such a charge.
9 - 10x people in the car either on their phone or not paying attention blasting music why do we get the blame all the time as me being a single father raising my children as well I understand it's not an easy job

This is not child abuse. How about law enforcement actually goes and finds all the people actually abusing and hurting children deliberately instead of picking on men who raise their child single handedly and love them.
