We are familiar to this property...The owners have testified that their land which the proposed poultry farm will be located, drains into county ditches that drain into Goose Lake. Goose Lake is already in trouble and certainly does not need any more contaminates... I understand that is is a DRY manure operation, but there is bound to be some spillage... Also, we are familiar with the HOMES that are directly adjacent to this proposed site. I am not against CAFO's... My brother has an egg laying CAFO and my nephew a hot operation...both in another county.

CAFO are more than the environment can support, They are especially toxic to the environment where there can be runoff into our waterways. The cleanup for the CAFOs will fall on the taxpayers, not the land owners or corporations supplied by the CAFOs.

Our lakes need protection from this potential pollution source. Goose Lake is already a lake that doesn't have ideal oxygen saturation levels due to extra phosphorus and other other agriculturally used chemicals in the water shed.
