It is amazing to me that the city council can’t seem to get it through their heads that in order for our city to prosper, we need to have reasons for people to want to live here. The lakes and waterways are just one of the many attractions this city has to offer. Why in the world would anyone think that allowing possible contamination of the waterway, and the quality of fresh air would attract those potential residents.
The council need to wake up and smell the roses.

If the Indiana Dept. of Invironment Management and/or your company are not willing to act responsibly towards the health, lives, waters and natural resources of the citizens of Indiana, Whitley County and Goose Lake I will stop buying Miller Poultry product.I will also try to convince my friends and acquaintances in the Chicago area to do the same.

This impact of these CAFO’s needs to be looked at intensely with how the effect the natural water tables they reside by. Way to much at risk for a few families prosperity!

Why can’t the CAFOs dry and compost the manure they create? There is a market for composted cow, and chicken manure. Any garden center has it for sale.
