The Honors English 11 Classes of 2009, Having devoted attention to their current grade of the fourth quarter, and their final grade for the 2007 through 2008 school year; 1. Takes note of the exemplary work done by the class as a whole, which has progressed far from their original state of understanding in regards to American literature; 1.1 Further acknowledges that this is due, almost solely to one Doctor Murray, who is an educator of extraordinary caliber; 1.2 Condemns the state required standardized testing for its much hated interference with the curriculum that serves significantly more purpose; 2. Sincerely requests that certain students be recognized for their active involvement in progressing, enhancing, and evolving literary concepts, theories, and general discussion of topics pertinent to the issue at hand; 2.1 Further proclaims that the upper tier of those so vital to class activities and discussions be given an accolade in appreciation of their work; 2.1.1 Recommends that this come in the form of one percent of extra credit for students that are one percent or less away from achieving an overall grade of the next letter grade for the fourth quarter; 2.2 Pleads that the students should be at least recognized for their efforts in utilizing their first amendment right in an attempt to achieve what the school\'s administration deemed an inappropriate act for teachers, the giving of meager amounts of credit to students who honestly deserve it.
