Safety should be the #1 concern. Keeping this as a SWY safety zone is the cheapest safety improvement the airport will ever have the opportunity to implement.

as a landowner in the Sweetwater Division and pilot I whole heartetly support the runway to move 2000 feet to the North but for safety concerns it makes perfect sense to have this Stopway. It clearly would be a inexpensive way to add on to the Safety of the Driggs Airport

With safety as the main goal in aviation, it makes no sense and is counter productive to reduce the length of available landing runway. If we leave the runway in place, and make it a displaced threshold, you would increase the safety and reduce the cost of the project by eliminating the cost to remove, regrade, and replant the area. Win, Win, Win for the City and for the Aviation community.

Maintaining a "Stopway" on a sloped runway that is often contaminated
in the winter when the surface is already in place seems like a simple and low cost way to improve safety at a popular GA airport. Please don't dig up existing infrastructure when it can help improve safety!

I to find it important to safety to keep the 2000 feet of pavement on the South end of the Runway as a "Stopway". The cost savings of not having to demo the pavement is also significate. I see no downside.
