Opposition to Proposed Southwood DRI and PUD Amendments

SouthWood residents need the permanent roads asap. Because of the growth of SouthWood, we need another community center and pool. Let’s keep our community up to date!

Biltmore extension is very necessary for traffic flow improvement.

The roads are unsafe and were promised to be updated by 2025. Also, one pool is not sufficient for this exponentially growing neighborhood.

Profound opposition to proposed changes. Additional traffic, residential homes are not i the best interest of current Southwood residents.

The Biltmore Ave extensions are desperately needed now. Southwood Plantation Rd from Apalachee Pkwy south is dangerous for the volume of traffic that is forced to use it, and has gotten worse with the new phase of residential development north of Orange Ave.

I agree with the opposition to the proposed changes.

We built our house in April 2006 and were promised a second pool at the time. It's been 18 years and we still don't have it, yet they continue to add more houses.

As a decade-long resident of Southwood, I strongly oppose the elimination of the communal/mixed-use space as well as the extremely lengthly delay of the buildout of much needed key collector and arterial roads.

I live at 3208 Coneflower and I oppose these changes.

I live on the Biltmore Orange side. The road must be finished. And completely giving up on a second pool is not right. We have been living here since 2006.

St, Joe should not dictate terms as they abandon community standards to maximize profits through expedient parcel liquidation. Should the corner of Biltmoore/Orange have shops? Probably not. But a community center to include a pool we sacrificed should not be compromised . St Joe should get nothing until they come to the table and commit to conditions that make our community the special place it is supposed to be.

I oppose. These were originally conditional to the approval so they should be held to them as originally agreed.

I oppose the delay of road improvements as well as the rezoning of a parcel of land to residential usage from its current zoning for an additional community center and/or pool.

This proposal is rooted deeply in corporate greed and not in the best interest of our community or property values. Our current pool is overcrowded and unsafe as a result of trying to cram all of Southwood into one pool. Home buyers bought under false pretenses of this bait and switch scam.
