I am a guy so this doesn't affect me a whole lot but I see a bunch of girls always complaining about the dress code and its dumb, girls will always be a "sexual distraction," guys look at girls no matter what they wear so let them wear what makes them comfirtable.

These rules make girls feel sexually unaccepted compared to boys. This outrageousness needs to stop. As long as it's not showing too much cleavages or girls butts or backs everything should be fine. Because girls should be able to wear clothes that makes them feel confident about their body. If a boy gets distracted by their beauty that's just the average boy. So don't punish girls because of a boys actions. Let them Wear what makes them confident instead of making them follow outrageous rules.

I think we should be able to wear whatever we want as long as we aren't wearing booty shorts or crop tops and stuff like that! The clothes we get dress coded for don't even show much of our skin! There needs to be a change and I really, really pray for this to work because I respect what yall are doing to change the dress code. We are almost at 500 signatures, let's go!

Its so stupid that my education gets interrupted because every guy looks at my butt because my jeans are tight. I've gotten dress coded because I was wearing black jeans and a teacher thought they were leggings. It's effecting my future, I came to school to learn and if a boy can't focus that's his fault, not mine so stop punishing me.

These dress codes are only enforcing the idea of shaming the girl and supporting the idea that if something happens to them, it's their fault and not the boys because of what they wore. It's sad that with all the "advancements" we've made in women's rights, our girls are still growing up, inadvertently learning from our educational institutions that what happens to them is their fault based on how they dress.

I understand the need for a dress code. Despite a few other comments here, I agree it is inappropriate for undergarments (yes, even a bra strap) to be showing during school. However, I think the fingertip length requirement is unreasonable for many students who have long arms. I think a better requirement would be some sort of compromise of fingertip length or 3" inseam (or something similar) to ensure shorts are covering the body, without requiring girls to wear bermuda or basketball shorts. Also, enforcement should NEVER occur in the middle of class. If a teacher sees a student out of dress code, he or she should ask the student to stay after class then send them to the AP. Parading females in front of the class and pulling them out of class because they are "distracting" the males is inappropriate and sexist. All students have a right to education. Ensuring the males have a "distraction free" environment by pulling girls from class is not acceptable and needs to be addressed. If a male student is causing a disruption by ogling over a female's clothing, HE should be removed from class. Not her.
