Unfortunately, a tragedy had to come out of these abandoned buildings that are not being used and are run down!! Mayor, thank you for putting pressure on the owners to remodel them according to city code or demolish them!!

Something needs to be done downtown. I know Midland is a conservative city but there needs to be more for the kids to do. A Cinergy and bowling alley aren't enough. Midland is growing, so should the entertainment. Downtown is beautiful and has so much potential. These abandoned buildings need new life and for the meantime better security.

I feel like Midland would be a even better city if we did have more fun things for kids to do, all there is are movies , restraunts, and the mall. If you were a kid like me with little money, I was doing the same things as the kid involved in this accident. Nothing abandoned should be down town. Make something fun for our next generation to do, atleast in one building. .

I totally agree with either demolish or remodel this places teenagers need something to do in this town movies and out to eat bowlero they need something like a recreational center or something that will keep them out of having to go into this dangerous places.

I agree. Tear down or reconstruct these old buildings. Some have great potential to be more than just sitting there deteriorating !

Something needs to be done to protect our youth. Build a spot for our kids! (Not 15 soccer fields)

You need to create a new city code that an abandoned building cannot sit vacant in disrepair for over a year or it will be seized by the city and sold for remodel or torn down!!!

I agree on the buildings needing to be torn down and I am very sorry for the loss of this teenage boy. However, kids have to be smarter, no trespassing means exactly that.

I agree with everyone, about getting old and abandoned buildings torn down if it's not any plans for remolding. This building have had plenty of time to have something done with it.

As a parent of different age children I completely agree with either demolishing or remodeling those old buildings, if not someone should be held accountable for not having those buildings properly sealed off.

I agree to have this done because if there's old abandoned buildings just sitting there than they need to go so that space could be used for something else.
