I am included in many people I know that won't be going if it's not in downtown. Not a good move. I agree with many that it should stay in downtown and perhaps add attractions in Founder's park such as kid things or additional shows and such.

I suspect that this move was done with the downtown's best interest at heart, but the most important element in this decision should have been the input of the downtown merchants. You don't just move and change a 16-year-old festival without much discussion with those who are most affected by it.

Blue Plums heartbeat atmosphere is from the downtown environment. If it is moved to Founders Park I may never go again. Now I am wondering if this was part of the bargaining in getting the funding for the Founders Park project.

Will not not be the same and I see the festival loosing its 16yr momentom not being in historic downtown Johnston City. I will not attend if it moves to a park.

Free festival to gather with friends you haven't seen in ages and walking the streets was the main draw of this festival, it has never really been about music save the one year we had nickel creek. I don't believe the BPA is going to bring in artist worth paying for that will draw a crowd, so I am all for reinstating the thing that made the festival popular, albeit under a different name.

I am a merchant in downtown Johnson City and have always looked forward to the hustle and bustle of the Blue Plum. They may not buy something that day but they always come back!!!!!

Blue plum was always an oppurtunity for local business to thrive an gain recognition, along with many artists with the multiple stages that are normally set up, a long with all of the vendors. Starting this festival would be a great thing for downtown Johnson City
