Blue plum has been a huge support over the years for small businesses, and that's what JC is, is t it? Didn't we rank in the top 20 as best for small business start ups? How can we keep it that way and improve if we are drawing consumers away from them?

Moving the Blue Plum festival from the streets is the dumbest thing I've heard. Why do you want to kill the festival? You might as well just cancel it entirely

The money I and other restaurant employees earn on this weekend is critical to our making it through the slow summer months. For us and our young children moving the Plum out of downtown would be disastrous.

The downtown merchants of Johnson City were key in making the Blue Plum Festival a success. It is incredibly unfair to move this Festival away from the streets of downtown Johnson City.

This is a very necessary action to take. The Blue Plum has relied on our town for all the years it has been building its reputation, and it should work in concert with the town to now support the down instead of working against it. A coordinated festival downtown at the time of the Blue Plum is a TERRIFIC idea!

I think incorporating all areas of downtown would be key. The main st and the new pavilion and founders park. If we could get something going and aspire to showcase Johnson city in the way Rhythm and Roots showcases Bristol that would be awesome! :-)

I support The Johnson City Downtown Merchants Association, and I hope that there will be a festival downtown for Blue Plum that is free and fun for people to enjoy. I feel this is important to the locals, the out of town visitors and to the merchants and businesses who are downtown and to those who set up their booths during the festival.
