I see no reason whatsoever for the trams to be scrapped, they are an important part of the Islands history and providing that the animals are well cared for I feel that the trams should be retained. Perhaps the powers that be might also like to get rid of the Manx emblem or perhaps demolish Laxey wheel!! I am not an Island resident so perhaps my opinion doesn't count, but over the years I have spent many enjoyable holidays on the Island and these things have been part of the many happy memories I have of this delightful place.

it has been a con from DOI and The borrought of Douglas who do they think they are?? they are actualy our servants we elected them so let us the public decide when we have all the fact and figure time to stand and be counted.

The horse trams are iconic& part of Manx heritage. It is disingenuous to say the least that they would be scrapped. I hope that a solution can be found.

They made a big mistake, in my opinion, when they closed half of the steam railway then sold the tracks for next to nothing, now they're set to make another one! I wonder how much they wasted on the awful paving stones that are all over the Island. I also wonder who paid for all the work that was unsatisfactory and had to be redone. In other words, had they not wasted such a vast amount of money on,in my opinion, the unnecessary 'Regneration' project, they could have kept the much more important horse trams.

Coming across to the IOM every TT and Manx classic TT the horse tram's removal would be a sad loss of the islands heratige ! Relocating the tracks to the prom and maybe an electic railway like other coastal resort towns maybe an option ?

Don't take away more of our heritage. If the government want to cut funds why did they spend nearly £190,000 on a TT feasibility study for it to go nowhere.
